“Around 9 or 10 (a.m), the mom went to take a nap. When the husband came in sometime after 12, he noticed to child was missing. There was a female (Amber) that was staying with them the last couple of days and had the child and mother’s vehicle,” Cpl. Chris Levy said.
Family members said Hunter is a good natured kid.
“He is a wonderful child, and he is my grandson. He is very curious he loves life and animals as well,” said the boy's grandmother, Terry Jones.
Police said they contacted Amber and agreed to meet up with her to take the child back home. But when they arrived at the designated spot, authorities said the only thing to greet them was the car.
“The vehicle and child were found in two different spots. Wooley was at a friend of Amber's playing in the front yard,” Levy said.
At this point in time, police said no charges are being filed.
“We’re in contact with her. Even though we don’t physically have our hands on her right now, it’s a missing person’s case and missing vehicle case where both of those have been located and we will go from there,” Levy said.
Police are not releasing Amber’s last name and the investigation is ongoing.
