Tet gifts presented to revolutionary contributors

(CPV) - President Truong Tan Sang on January 10 signed Decision 71/QĐ-CTN on presenting Tet gifts to contributors to the revolution, on the occasion of the coming Lunar New Year 2013.

According to the Decision, Tet gifts worth VND400,000 each will be presented to people who joined revolutionary activities before January 1, 1945 and up to the General Uprising on August 19, 1945; Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and Labour Heroes during the resistance war; relatives of martyrs and those who contributed to the revolution will also be given the gift. Other beneficiaries of the policy include war invalids and sick soldiers whose working capacity has declined over 81%.

The same amount will also be sent to people who joined in revolutionary activities and were infected with toxic chemicals that reduced their working capacity by over 81%.

A gift worth VND200,000 will be presented to war invalids and sick soldiers who lost less than 80% of their working capacity, relatives of martyrs and revolutionary contributors and resistance war activists infected with toxic chemicals and lost less than 80% of working capacity./.
